First Portfolio Photo of Marilyn Monroe Was Sold

An early image of Monroe was bought for £3,100 by unknown collector.

The auction house Henry Aldridge and Sons sold a negative of an image made by Hollywood photographer, Joseph Jasgur, for £3,100 reported Western Daily Press.

Jasgur took the photo on March 6, 1946 by request of the Modeling Agency, where 20 year old Norma Jeanne Baker, future Marilyn Monroe, worked. Afterwards, Joseph Jasgur became the private photographer of the actress.
