HD Photo of Moon Uses 32,000 Images

High resolution image of the natural satellite Bartosz Wojczyński made without leaving his home.

Photographer Bartosz Wojczyński published a detailed photo of the Moon, made from the window of his apartment. To take the photo he used equipment that cost $3,500: a ZWO ASI17MM camera, filters, a Celestron C9.25 telescope (which is equivalent to a 2350 f/10 camera lens) and a Sky-Watcher HEQ5 mount. Wojczyński took 28 minutes to make 32,000 photos of the natural Earth satellite with the total volume of 73,5 GB. He then layered the images into one 14-megapixel image.
