Fake Escort Service Website with Photographs of Murdered Women Launched in France

The resource became a platform for social advertisement against sex trafficking.

As part of their campaign to fight sex trafficking, the French organization called Le Mouvement du Nid and McCann creative agency developed a fake escort services website, Girls of Paradise.

Adweek reports that visually it looks very similar to other websites providing escort services: clients can look through the photos of girls and read information on their profiles. The only difference is that the models depicted in the photographs are dead.

Men, who were unsuspecting of this, started online chats with the women or called the numbers mentioned on their profiles — this was when they discovered the truth.

The authors of the campaign say that their main goal is to show people who are using escort services that by financing this industry they become accomplices of the violence that these women often suffer from.
