Robots Are Removing Offensive Content from Twitter

Social network robotized filter to spot pornigraphy and violence.

Twitter began using robots to remove images that contain violence or pornography. According to New Statesman, it is just a part of a long-term program to introduce the artificial intelligence system, Twitter Cortex, that will control content on the social network.

It’s estimated that robots can filter up to 99% of offensive imagery. It’s also mentioned that about 7% of content will be blocked by mistake.

Earlier, the company employed thousands of the moderators to spot offensive imagery. They predominately worked in Asia and on average were receiving about $300 per month each.
