Capture Music: The Best Photographs from the Ultimate Music Moment Contest

The jury of Ultimate Music Moment, an international competition organized by PDN for photographers who work in the musical industry, announced the winners of 2017.

German photographer Maria Louceiro won the grand prize with her photograph of American musician Holly Herndon. She will be awarded $1,500. The jury has also selected winners in theme categories: Artist Portraits, Performances, and Crowd (this category includes the photographs of the audience at music shows and festivals).

The best photographs include works by Katarina Benzova with her photographs from the performances of Marilyn Manson, Mick Jagger, and Lenny Kravitz; Jeanette Moses, who submitted a series about the everyday life of The Coathangers, an American punk rock band; and Laurent Hou, whose series shows a festival called Beijing Strawberry.
