American Ordered Pizza to Check in on His Grandma

The city where the 87-year-old lady lives was heavily impacted by Hurricane Matthew.

Eric Olsen from Omaha, Nebraska ordered pizza to his grandmother’s home on the other side of the United States. ‘Delivered’ status should have meant that his elderly relative is fine and she had not suffered from Hurricane Matthew, ABC News reports.

Olsen says that he could not reach his 87-year-old grandma Claire in Palm Coast, a city that was heavily impacted by the hurricane, for two days.

First, Eric tried to contact his grandma through local police, but that did not work out. So, when he felt he was out of options, he ordered pizza to be delivered to her home. He left the delivery guys his phone number and asked them to call when they complete the delivery. And after half an hour, the relatives were on the phone with each other.
