Israeli Tourist Makes Video Postcard of New York

Out of 3,600 photos of yellow cabs, brownstones and people walking on the streets of New York, 330 were used for the video.

Motion graphics designer and animator, Ynon Lan from Tel Aviv, made a flowing motion video about his trip to New York. Lan selected three of the most iconic images of the city – yellow cabs, people walking and brownstones – and made more than 3,600 images of them. After returning to Israel, he spent a month editing the still photos into video that appears as if they are one flowing motion. The final video has 330 images. In one week of internet publication, the video garnered 50k views and was selected by Vimeo as a “Staff Pick.”
