Photo of the Day: Large Scale Selfie from Hawaii

A traveler from Ohio took a photo of himself on a background of the starry arch and stitched panorama image from 23 photos.

Last September, Shane Black, a 26-year photographer from Ohio, made an image that could be considered the best large scale selfie in a human history, writes Metro. Black stitched the final image from 23 individual frames (each shot with the shutter open for 15 seconds). He shot the work near the Mauna Kea volcano in Hawaii. According to Black, he put himself in the picture to show the scale of the scene, and to allow viewers to have a sense of what it would feel like to be in the actual place.

News agency Caters named the celestial and geographical objects in the photo.
