Ukrainian Photographer Captures Disappearing Vintage Ceramic Tiles
Chernovtsy-based photographer Vladimir Tsaryuk created a photo series featuring vintage ceramic tiles. He paid a visit to more than one hundred buildings in the historical section of his city.
“During scheduled repairs of old buildings only a few contractors consider refurbishment of the ceramic tiles as an option, more often it’s just changed with new. I noticed that every year the number of nice looking entrance halls in Chernovtsy is decreasing, so I decided to capture their disappearing beauty,” said the photographer.
