Screens with GIF-images are brought to the streets of London

Art-group In Return installed about 30 digital screens with GIF-images in the center of London.

The creative team of In Return including Guus ter Beek and Tayfun Sarier placed several 30x25cm screens on the main streets and squares of London — Curtain Road, Liverpool Street, Oxford Street, Westminster Bridge, Trafalgar Square and others. The images within the frames are programmed for replay. You can’t switch them off, but you can download them to your iPad.

The city residents’ reaction to the installation varied: many slowed down by the screens, took snapshots of it, and some tried to turn it off or remove the frame.
