Recipients of a $10,000 Grant for Instagram Photographers Announced
Getty Images and Instagram chose the winners of their joint contest for Instagram photographers, which them offers a $10,000 grant for the second year in a row, The Huffington Post writes.
This time, the jury selected three authors who will share the prize: Christian Rodriguez of Uruguay, who has recently been working on a series about underage mothers in Latin America, Ronny Sen, who documents the life of India, and Girma Berta of Ethiopia.
The winners will also have the opportunity to work with the photojournalists of the agency, and their works will be displayed during Photoville festival in New York between September 21 and September 25.
It is the second time that Getty Images Instagram Grant is awarded: one of the main purposes of the contest is to find talented photographers who document life in the parts of the planet that are underrepresented in the world media. Last year, the grant went to the Russian photographer Dmitry Markov.
