Justin Borucki was afire with enthusiasm for making photos of New York City similar to those he saw in his childhood. For that specific reason, he decided to put together the “collodion process.” To fix a negative on a glass plate, an artist needs to immerse it into a special solution just before shooting a camera, and then has to develop the plate right after he finishes. That is why Borucki had to design a mobile lab on wheels says American Photo.

Borucki comments that he spent an entire year experimenting with collodion technology and designing the street lab. As a result he was able to create photos of New York looking like they were made 100 years ago. Any of the pictures singed by author can be boughtt for $25.
