Photographer Marc Frei Takes Photos of Electricity
A German photographer Marc Simon Frei purchased a violet ray invented by Nicola Tesla (a portable tesla coil) on eBay and uses it to generate electric discharges, which he then captures with a camera.
“Don’t try this at home, the high frequency voltage could damage your equipment,” said Frei in his interview to PetaPixel.
Frei has also experimented with creating miniature lightning. He used stuffing taken from stuffed animals as clouds.
