Wedding Photographer to Pay €9,000 Fine for Lost Photos
Newly married couple wins a court case against a photographer who deleted their wedding images by accident.
A court in Spain fined a local photographer €9,000 for deleting wedding photos reports PetaPixel with a reference to ABC de Sevilla.
A couple from New York were married in July 2012, and hired a photographer for €1,100. After the ceremony they did not receive their photos.
The court acknowledged the right of the newly married couple on moral compensation and ordered the photographer to pay the price of their airplane tickets, costs associated with the wedding gown, hairstyle and bride’s flower bouquet – about €8,000 plus interest.
