The New Yorker Visualized in a Series of Short Films
Amazon released a pilot of a series of short films made based on New Yorker articles, Mashable writes. Alex Gibney, an Academy award-winning American documentary filmmaker, is one of the producers of this project.
“It’s taking content from The New Yorker – articles, essays, short stories, comedy pieces – and sort of letting filmmakers run with those ideas and visualize them, — Kahane Cooperman, also one of the show’s executive producers, says. — Every episode is comprised of multiple short films made by filmmakers. The series is not episodic — you aren’t following one story the whole way through. Every episode is completely different and every piece is completely different from each other.”
It is reported that a new 30-minute episode is planned to be released twice a week.
