Sony World Photography Awards 2017 Opens for Submissions

Sony World Photography Awards, which is held for the tenth time this year, becomes more popular each year. Photographers can apply to one of the categories: Professional, Open, Youth, or Student Focus.
The main prize for winners in the Professional and Open categories is $25,000 and $5,000 respectively. In addition, the works of winners and finalists will be exhibited, and they will receive career development opportunities.
In 2016, Sony World Photography Awards set a new record number of submissions — 230,000 photographers from 186 countries around the world took part in the competition. The winner of the main prize who received $25,000 was Iranian photojournalist Asghar Khamseh.
