Magazine Covers Combined with Classical Paintings
Eisen Bernardo found similarities between covers of popular magazines and the works of famous artists.
Filipino designer Eisen Bernardo published a series called All Art is Political where he combined the covers of American politics-themed magazines with classic paintings, uniting them into one work of art.
In one of the works, US Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton became the character in Madonna of the Rose by Raphael, and the photograph of the fragments of a Malaysia Airlines Boeing that was downed in Donetsk oblast in Ukraine replaced a part of the work by the American artist Andrew Wyeth.
Bernardo has posted a similar series earlier, where he combined famous paintings with music album covers.
