Photographer Compares Public and Private Personas of Celebrities
Andrew Walker asked popular actors, directors, and musicians to show how their behavior is different in public and in private.
Photographer Andrew Walker presented a series of portraits of celebrities where he compared their public persona and their private self. The project has 51 photographs of famous actors, directors and musicians — Amy Adams, Richard Gere, Oscar Isaac, Oliver Stone, Gerard Butler, Anne Hathaway, Pharrell Williams, and the others.
“I was really curious with actors because they have, not only this personal inside voice, but they have a public persona that they put out there, and they also have their private self,” Walker says. “I was really nervous about how to start this and what the response was going to be. I have to say, 95 percent were so willing and interested in doing something.”
