New York Magazine published a series of photographs where American actress Jessica Lange remakes iconic portraits of eight women.
In the photographs, Lange poses as artists Frida Kahlo and Georgia O’Keeffe, writer Simone de Beauvoir, actresses Mae West and Marlene Dietrich, singer Janis Joplin, editor Diana Vreeland, and activist Gloria Steinem.
All portraits of the series were taken by American photographer Sandro Miller who created a similar project earlier together with John Malkovich, where the actor posed as Albert Einstein, Salvador Dali, Che Guevara, Ernest Hemingway, and other celebrities.
