Tilda Swinton Captured In “Surreal World”

W Magazine published a photo story titled “Surreal World” with Tilda Swinton as a model. The series was made by photographer Tim Walker in the Houston Museum’s Menil Collection. The actress posed in front of a René Magritte painting in the designs of Chanel, Calvin Klein and Dior.
It is third project of Swinton and Walker. In 2011 they presented the Iceland series “Planet Tilda,” in 2013 a photo session in a Mexican jungle “Stranger Than Paradise.”

“The majority of my life as a photographer is about persuading people to do things on account of my imagination. Working on these projects is much more of a creative commune—I’ve been led up pathways I wouldn’t necessarily have approached,” commended Walker on his work.
