Possibly The Most Expensive Photo Shoot in History
Airbus released a video about a photo shoot for five new airplanes of the A350–900s.
The shoot, conducted in September, was conducted to celebrate the launching of a new model of the airliner. Petapixel.com has calculated that if one of five AirBus A350-900s (each costs $300 million) consumes 3,500 gallons of fuel per hour of flight time with the fuel price of $3 per gallon, then one hour flight will cost approximately $55,000. Include the cost of preparation, payments to the pilots and team, then the estimated price of the shoot session should be about a billion dollars.
