The winners of the iPhoneography competition are announced

PPAWARDS announced the winners of the 7th annual iPhoneography competition on the 10th of July in New York City. It’s the most renown competition of its kind. The works were represented in 17 categories which include Architecture, Food, Landscape, Lifestyle, News/Events and People.

To enter the competition, photographers had to have the qualifying images made with an iPhone, iPad or iPod. The editing was permitted only using iOS operating system. The jury’s decision was based on evaluating the artistic value of the photographs, as well as their originality, subject and a sense of style.

There are three winners in the Photographer Of the Year nomination — Julio Lucas (Bradenton, USA), Jose Luis Barcia Fernandez (Madrid, Spain) and Jill Missner (Ridgefield, USA) — they each received an iPad Air, and the first place winners in every category were awarded a Gold Bar.
