Steve McCurry’s Assistant is Arrested for Theft of His Work
32-year-old Bree DeStephano has been accused of taking $654,358 worth of the iconic photographer's work.
On Tuesday, June 2nd, Bree DeStephano, former assistant of the photojournalist Steve McCurry, was arrested in West Chester, PA. She is being charged with stealing McCurry’s works. According to the West Chester District Attorney’s press release, DeStephano has been stealing prints, books and other items since 2012. The total value is $654,258.02.
