Man from Mexico accidentally shoots himself while taking a “selfie”
The "selfie" craze leads to death of a Mexico City resident who shoots himself while posing with a loaded gun.
21-year-old Oscar Otero Aguilar died after trying to take a killer “selfie”. According to Mexican site Proseco, the young man is said to have been drinking with friends when the accident happened. He had been playing with the borrowed gun and decided to pose for a “selfie” without realizing the gun was loaded. He shot himself in the head after accidentally pulling a trigger and succumbed to his injuries in the ambulance, on the way to the hospital.
It’s not the first case of a “selfie” turning tragic. Last week at a festival in Bayonne, in the south of France, a young man was attacked by a bull while posing in front of the animal. The victim survived and the accident was captured on video.
