US National Park Service is Looking for Next Ansel Adams

The annual salary of the photographer is expected to be from $63,722 to $99,296, but they will have to shoot more than beautiful landscapes in Yosemite Park.

With the 100th anniversary of National Park Service approaching, US Department of the Interior is looking for a photographer with “knowledge of the principles and techniques of large format, black and white photography”, to capture American landscapes, Christian Science Monitor reports.

The job posting is widely discussed by the professionals in the sphere, as in 1940s a famous photographer Ansel Adams was employed at the same position. The photographs he took in the national parks of the US became classic.

The representative of the Department of the Interior had to specify, that the job with the annual salary betweeen $63,722 and $99,296 a year does not mean constant traveling around Yosemite Park and the Grand Canyon. The photographer will also have to capture the building, bridges and railroads.

Photographs of the new employee of the US National Park Service will be exhibited along Adams’ photographs at the permanent exhibition in the Library of Congress.
