Visual Encyclopedia Box Set About Literature

John O’Sullivan, a graphic designer, launched a Kickstarter campaign to collect funds to publish “Literalogue,” a visual literature encyclopedia. He created portraits of one hundred important literary figures, describing their work, their quotes, and the interesting facts about their life. O’Sullivan categotized the work by literary movements, using color coded noses of the writers to indicate categories. The list includes: metaphysical poets, realism, romanticism, modernism and imagism.

The designer plans to publish two products: a poster series and a postcard box set. “Literalogue” will be priced at $60 and the buyer will receive six posters with a favorite author as a bonus.

The campaign end on June 17th.
