The Best of the Mobile Photography Awards
The organizers of the international Mobile Photography Awards published the selection of the best works of 2016. Giles Clarke, a photo reporter from New York, won the grand prize with a dozen photographs taken all over the world. He received a cash prize of $3,000.
“If we are looking for photos that tell a story then Giles is the one,” jury member Andy Butler says. “Out of all the amazing MPA photos this year his was the collection that had me thinking all night.”
The jury also selected winners in 18 theme categories. Among them are Glenn Homann with his Flutter (People Photos), Michel Juvet with his black-and-white London after Brexit (The Darkness), and Margarita Iskandarova, whose photograph of horses near the river was considered the best in the category Nature & Wildlife.
