War Photographer Filmed His Work During a Shootout in Afghanistan
British Army photographer Rupert Frere released a short video made from the first-person POV.
Rupert Frere from the UK released a first-person POV video where he shows what the work of a war photographer is like: the three-minute video includes footage that he made during a shootout in Afghanistan, where Frere and other soldiers patrolled one of the sites. As the combat unfolded, the photographer had to alternate between documenting the events and participating in the shootout himself.
“War photography is my favourite photography, it’s easy as there is emotion and interesting things everywhere you look. All I needed to do is stay alive and take photos.”
