Tom Lakeman Recreated Dishes Based on the Shopping Lists He Found

British photographer has been collecting pieces of paper people left in their shopping carts and baskets for eight years.

British photographer Tom Lakeman created a photo project called À la Cart, where he turned the shopping lists he found in London supermarkets into dishes.

“I’ve always collected people’s discarded items. So when I came across people’s shopping lists left in baskets and trolleys it seemed like Christmas! — Lakeman says. — All my work is about personal identity, and the reconstruction of it.”

The author says he has been collecting the shopping lists that were left behind for eight years.

Now Lakeman is raising money on Kickstarter to publish a photo book.
