Photographer Shoots Hollywood Actors Using 19th Century Technology
An American Photographer, Victoria Will, published portraits of famous artists she made this year at the Sundance Film Festival. For celebrity photo sessions she used an old Graflex Super D camera that makes a tintype, also known as a ferrotype — a photograph on a thin sheet of metal.
“We live in an age of glossy magazines and overly retouched skin. But there is no lying with tintypes. You can’t get rid of a few wrinkles in Photoshop,” said the photographer.
