Attempt to Take a Selfie with a Walrus Cost Two Lives
The accident happened in Yeshanko Wildlife Zoo.
A visitor to Yeshanko Wildlife Zoo in China drowned when trying to take a good selfie with a walrus, Ubergizmo writes.
It is reported that a man approached the walrus and took several photographs, but the animal attacked him from the back and dragged him into the pool. A zoo employee tried to save the drowning man: he jumped into the water, but also drowned.
The management of the zoo has already acknowledged their guilt in not restricting access of visitors to the animals enough and promised a compensation of $137,000 to the family of one of the men.
Bird In Flight published an article earlier featuring the best known cases of fatal selfies.
