Google Releases an App for Studying Arts & Culture History
Google presented a mobile app called Arts & Culture, which allows the users to learn about thousands of digitized exhibits from the museum collections and take virtual journeys to the tourist attractions around the world.
According to The Next Web, the program has the option to sort artworks by type, time of creation, name of the author, and other parameters.
Arts & Culture will also include the information about the museums of the city where the user is located, their opening times, and information about the ongoing exhibitions.
So far, the app covers only four institutions, including Dulwich Picture Gallery in London and the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, but it is expected that the database will soon include museums from other countries as well.
Google Arts & Culture is available in online stores Google Play and AppStore.
