NASA Rocket Test Shot with a High Speed Camera

The Agency developed its own recording device aimed to help perform detailed analysis of rocket tests.

NASA released a three-minute video which shows a flamy stream coming out of the rocket engine captured by an HDR high speed camera, PetaPixel writes.

The device, High Dynamic Range Stereo X, was developed at the Agency and can record multiple exposures simultaneously that are further united in one video file.

According to NASA representatives, such camera was created for detailed analysis of test launches of rocket engines: none of the existing devices was suitable for this purpose.
