People Put Clothes on Models with the Help of Augmented Reality
As London Fashion Week started, Lyst Internet shop launched an advertising campaign that uses augmented reality technology, allowing citizens to dress half-naked models in virtual clothes, Engadget writes.
The company did not specify which mobile application was used during their ‘fashion show’, but explained that people who were passing by the window of one of the local shops could ‘dress’ the models who were standing there with the help of their smartphones. They could also take a closer look at the clothes in 360-format and magnify it to examine the texture of fabric.
“We thought it would be fascinating to look at what lies in store — quite literally — for us all in the coming years,” company representative Christian Woolfenden said.
