Infographic of the Day: Interactive Weather Map in Real Time

Czech programmers Marek Mojzík and Martin Prantl in collaboration with InMeteo, a meteorological company, developed Ventusky — an interactive weather map that allows to observe meteorological changes anywhere in the world in real time.

Ventusky works based on information about air temperature, precipitation, cloud cover, wind speed, barometric pressure, thunderstorms, and snow cover. Users can customize the display of each of these indicators manually, as well as change the look of the animated lines that show the wind direction on the map.

The users can also observe not only the current weather conditions, but also check the weather forecast by choosing a date on a built-in calendar.
