Amazon Presents a Shop Without Cash Registers
Company representatives say that the new service will revolutionize the retail.
Amazon published a 1.5-minute video which shows their latest development — the service called Go, aimed to makes cash desks in retail shops unnecessary, Engadget writes.
The customer will authorize with the help of QR code when they enter the supermarket, after that they will be able to choose any goods and just leave: the technology based on machine learning and many sensors identifies what items were bought and automatically deducts the corresponding amount from the user’s bank card.
The first supermarket that works using Amazon Go is already working in one of the districts of Seattle: so far, only for employees of the company, but it is expected it will be open for the general public in 2017.
