McDonald’s Mocks Hipster Coffee Shops in a New Ad
The company showed its main competitive advantage.
McDonald’s UK released an advertising video for McCafé, which shows the difficulties encountered by a person who wants to have a coffee in one of the popular hipster cafes, Creativity writes.
The video makes fun of the attributes of such places: unusual way of serving coffee, small cups, unreasonably high prices, ‘inspirational’ Wi-Fi passwords such as FlyHighWithYourDreams, and other typical features of urban coffee shops.
One of the men in the video looks at the huge list of caffeinated drinks at a loss and says: “I just want a coffee.” The other tries to find a seat, but finds a ping pong table instead.
