The Academy of British Cover Design Names the Best Covers

The Academy of British Cover Design (ABCD) named the winners of the annual contest in 10 categories.

The best works in the nomination Sci-Fi/Fantasy include the covers for Foundation by Isaac Asimov, The Trees by Ali Shaw, and Radiance by Catherynne Valente. In the category Non-Fiction, the winner is the cover for The Genius of Birds by Jennifer Ackerman, and the series of illustrations for the works by Virginia Woolf won in the Series category.

The cover for the book The Birds and Other Stories by Daphne de Maurier created by designer Jamie Keenan was considered the best in the Classics/Reissue category, and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas had the best cover among the children’s books.
