Link of the Day: Neural Network Evaluates Photographs
Everypixel, a Russian photo bank search engine, created a neural network that evaluates the beauty and quality of pictures.
The neural networks were trained with the help of 957,000 good and bad photographs, some of them selected together with designers and photographers. If you upload your photograph on the website, the neural network will make a suggestion about what is depicted in it, and offer a percentage of it being a good photograph. At the time this piece was published, access to the instrument was protected with a password (login: real; password: beauty).
Everypixel wants to use a neural network for searching the photobank, in order to promote good pictures and leave out the ones of poor quality.
