Video Shot by iPhone 7 Compared to Video Taken with an $82,000 Arri Alexa Camera
The smartphone that many people call a killer of professional cameras still has room for improvement.
American video blogger Potato Jet posted a five-minute video where he compared the performance of an iPhone 7 when shooting video with the camera Arri Alexa, which costs about $82,000. The video compares footage taken from the same angle on both devices.
The author tested them in different situations — both in the studio and in bad lighting conditions. PetaPixel writes that the difference in performance was even more drastic than expected: in most cases, iPhone looks like a children’s toy compared to Alexa.
Late last year, a similar video became viral: it compared the smartphone’s performance when shooting video with another professional camera, RED Weapon, which costs about $50,000.
