Americans Build Ice Stonehenge

Five friends created a 4-tone sculpture.

Recently five Americans, Drew McHenry, Kevin Lehner, Quinn Williams, Alec Seamars and Patrick Shields, created an ice sculpture in the shape of Stonehenge on Rock Lake, in Wisconsin. The idea for the sculpture was born when the friends decided to try ice-carving using antique ice cutting equipment. Each of the pillars of the sculpture, called Icehenge by the creators, weights around 140 kilograms, and the pieces laying on top are 90 kilogram each. It took the crew two weekends to make the sculpture.

According to Boredpanda, the amateur sculpture artists created Icehenge for the second time. Sadly, in 2014 because of weather they were not able to complete the project. This winter everything went as it was planned.
