Stop Motion Music Video About Burning Photos

For a new video for duo Victoria+Jean, a filmmaker used 8,500 photos, 10 quarts of gasoline and two pounds of explosive powder.

Designer and filmmaker, Christiphe Thockler, made a stop motion video for the new single from duo Victoria+Jean “Why Won’t You”, writes fastcodesign.com. First, Thockler used 10 quarts of gasoline and two pounds of explosive powder while producing the video, which involved 8,500 images and 400 burning photos of the singer and guitarist. In the video description on his web-site, the director says that this work was a perfect playground for experiments with rhythm, stop-motion, onirism and symbolism.

200 photos salvaged from the fire will be used as covers for a special edition of the duo’s debut album Divine Love.
