Fujifilm Shows Place of Film Production
Fujifilm is selling equipment from its European film factory, says PetaPixel. With the assistance of the industrial auction service Troostwijk, the company has organized an on line auction for tanks, roller conveyors, paper presses, transport systems, and more.
Closed in 2006, the production facility in Tilburg, Netherlands, used to provide jobs for nearly 1,000 workers producing up to 200 million rolls per year, photo paper, and other imaging equipment. For the last nine years the factory has been quiet.
For the auction, the company published an extensive photo gallery of the facilities to show the general public where and how the photo supplies were produced.
