Infographic of the Day: Biggest Battles on One Map
NodeGoat collected information about 2,000 battles in the history of humanity.
Authors of NodeGoat website that specializes in data visualization developed an interactive map, where they included data about the biggest battles in the history of mankind.
The creators of the project said that they based the map on information from Wikipedia, and out of the 8,000 battles, they chose only those with known with dates and locations. As a result, they added more than 2,000 dots to the map. The color of the dots depends on the time period of the battle.
Users can regulate the time period that is displayed on the map with the help of a special slider at the bottom of the screen.
