Al Jazeera Reporters are Arrested in Paris
Reporters are suspected of illegal use of a drone.
On February 25th, three journalists from the Doha based international broadcaster Al Jazeera were taken into custody for flying a drone in the Bois de Boulogne area, writes Associated Press. Flying drones without a license in France is illegal and carries a one-year prison sentence and a $85,000 fine.
Under French law the journalists can be held for a maximum of 24 hours. Police also suspects that the journalists were flying five drones sighted over the Pairs on Monday and Tuesday nights last week.
