The First Panoramic Photos of the Capital of the DPRK are Published

Photographer Aram Pan captured Pyongyang from a bird's eye view.

Singapore-based Aram Pan became the first foreign photographer who managed to to capture Pyongyang from air, PetaPixel reports. Pan posted a 15-minute video and photographs he took for his personal project DPRK 360 about the like in the totalitarian state.

He received the permission to shoot directly from the DPRK authorities. A year ago Pan sent a request to the administration of the Worker’s Party asking to let him capture the capital from a bird’s eye view. Politicians gave Pan a light helicopter and oficially invited him to do a photo shoot. Now this helicopter regularly flies over the city, and is available for all foreign photographers who order this service through the Young Pioneer Tours tourist company.
