Tatsiana Tkachova Won Vilnius Photo Circle
The photographer won with the series about her native village in Belarus.
Belarusian photographer Tatsiana Tkachova won the first prize at the contest for young photographers at Vilnius Photo Circle photo festival, Fotografika, the Academy of Documentary Photography and Photojournalism in St. Petersburg that she graduated from, reports.
“This is the first time I’ve taken part in a photo festival. Congratulations to the other finalists! I had a unique experience and met cool people,” photographer wrote on Facebook.
Tkachova won with her project called Malostovka, which Bird In Flight presented earlier. The series is about her native village, where she traveled after a long time away from it, to capture the changes that happened in the place where she was born and in herself.
