Photo: The Earth from Saturn
The photograph was taken on April 12 from the distance of 1.4 billion kilometers from the surface of the Earth.
NASA published a photograph sent by Cassini spacecraft: it captures the Earth between Saturn’s rings, looking like a small bright dot. At a close look, you can even see the Moon at the photograph, Gizmodo writes.
Earlier this year, Cassini sent photographs of Saturn’s rings taken in the highest resolution ever. The spacecraft has already spent a total of about 20 years in space: it was launched in October 1997 and arrived on Saturn in June 2004. It is expected that due to the lack of fuel its mission will be over by mid-September next year.
