Instagram Blogger, Stepan the Cat, Raised $10, 000 to Help Ukrainian Animals
Stepan the Cat from Kharkiv, whose Instagram account has more than 1,2 million followers, raised $10, 000 to help Ukrainian animals, reports the cat’s owner.
The money will be donated to five organizations, including the charity fund Happy Paw, the animal rights movement UAnimals, the 12 months zoo, the charity foundation Pliushka, and the Mykolaiv zoo. Donations will be used to buy pet food and transport animals to safer areas.
The project was executed in cooperation with the World’s Bloggers and Influencers Organization and Zagoriy Foundation.
On March 16 the cat’s owner made a post on Instagram, informing Stepan’s followers that together with the cat she managed to flee Kharkiv and has now arrived in Monaco.
The woman said that their neighborhood suffered from the constant shelling, and their own house was hit on the eighth day of the war. They’ve spent two nights in the basement and seven days without electricity. Afterward, they were able to leave the city safely, thanks to volunteers. They went to Lviv by train and then waited for nine hours to cross the Polish border.
