Basel-born Celebrities Were Photographed in the Style of Famous Photographers

Lucian Hunziker imitated Henri-Cartier Bresson, Andy Warhol, Peter Lindbergh, and Anton Corbijn.

Lucian Hunziker from Switzerland found out how the local celebrities would look if they were captured by the most famous photographers of the last 150 years.

“Basel in Portraits is my personal project on how to learn the best from the best” — Hunziker says in his Peta Pixel interview.

59 Basel-born celebrities who have made a mark in culture, sports, science and politics were photographed for the series. Among the faces that appear in the project are tennis star Roger Federer, Oscar-winning film producer Arthur Cohn, architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron.

The author photographed them imitating the style of Henri-Cartier Bresson, Andy Warhol, Peter Lindbergh, Anton Corbijn and other iconic photographers. The series will be published in a photobook titled Basel in Portraits.
